Snowless Winter

Here we are after Christmas and almost at New Year's Eve, and not an ounce of snow. This isn't so uncommon anymore, since Mother Nature has been changing her ways. It does make us all nervous, though. How far into April or May or even June will we be seeing freezing temps and snow storms?

I wish it would snow right after Halloween and stop before St. Patty's Day. But who am I to be pushing Miss Mother Nature around?

These are a few shots of Christmas Day here in picturesque Portsmouth. Some of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard also.

Thanks!

November

We changed time last weekend, so now the days are full of long shadows and weak sunlight. Cold, too. The leaves are brown and dried. We have had a few frosty mornings so far. We walked the trails at Odiorne State Park on the past Saturday. A few shots from our day.

You've been Nighttimming baby and it's starting to show....

You've got your pleasures all around you, all in a row....  Nighttimming, baby!!

So recently I fell madly in love with long exposures.  I have surrounded myself with creative minds and we have been hard at work experimenting and mastering this photography trick.

Some are from the "Strip" on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Some are done in my house.  Or along a road side, or hanging off a bridge.  I hope you enjoy these as much as we did making them!!

Autumn Splendor

Oh the days of October here are the best all year!  The humidity finally backs off and allows the crispness to settle in.  Each day ripens the trees a little more into their full beauty. Breath taking views in any weather!

Sheep make good friends

These sheep live in town.  They seem to remember me and the sound of my voice and come barrelling toward me when I come for visits.

I have quite the crush on the fluffy brown one, calling him Cocoa. Not sure if they have names, but I always name them!  They seem to be ok with it.

The sheep have MEAN geese roommates.  Some of them are very fancy and have funny feathers that stick out and give them flare. Pretty or not, they are MEAN!  They also come running with the sheep. Can't tell of they're running toward us to attack or are greeting us.

Been a while

Hello darlings!   I am sorry for my absence, I have been quite busy playing with the cameras and enjoying autumn!

Recently got very into long exposures and fun with light sticks. I'll post all that I have been up to in the past weeks.

Brought a bunch of photos and postcards up to the shop to sell.  So far, still no real competition.  Visited my sheepy friends for some great photos and conversations, too.

I've taken a lot of photos lately. I'll share them all...

Enjoy, and thank you!!
